Tendo por base a combina\u00e7\u00e3o de m\u00e9todos de processamento de sinal, reconhecimento de padr\u00f5es, m\u00fasica e intera\u00e7\u00e3o humano-computador, o laborat\u00f3rio visa contribuir para que os computadores entendam, modelem e gerem som e m\u00fasica, com e sem intera\u00e7\u00e3o com artistas humanos. Os t\u00f3picos de interesse estendem-se da s\u00edntese de \u00e1udio e processamento computacional de som at\u00e9 gera\u00e7\u00e3o autom\u00e1tica e procedimental de m\u00fasica, por exemplo, para uso em sistemas computacionais interativos, espacializa\u00e7\u00e3o de \u00e1udio 3D para integra\u00e7\u00e3o em ambientes virtuais, entre outros contextos de aplica\u00e7\u00e3o.
