With the preparation of the 3rd edition of the\u00a0M.Sc. on Data Science and Engineering<\/a>\u00a0(https:\/\/dei.fe.up.pt\/mdse\/<\/a>) well under way, it is time to look back at what was accomplished so far and also to project the future. This will be done as part of the\u00a02022 MDSE Sunset Session<\/strong>, on the\u00a02nd July (Saturday)<\/strong>, in room B032,<\/strong> in a relaxed environment but focused on a very important topic: Ethics and Responsability in AI<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The program will feature two keynote talks, by\u00a0Ana Costa e Silva<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0(Mercer)<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0Pedro Saleiro<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0(Feedzai)<\/strong>, as well as a panel discussion including\u00a0In\u00eas de Matos Pinto<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0(S&D Group @ European Parliament)<\/strong>,\u00a0In\u00eas Sousa<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0(Fraunhofer Portugal)<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0Peter van der Putten<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0(Pegasystems & U. Leiden)<\/strong>, moderated by\u00a0Eug\u00e9nio Oliveira<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0(FEUP)<\/strong>. During the event MDSE students will also present some of their projects.<\/p>\n

The event is targeted both to\u00a0companies<\/strong>, looking for talent in Data Science, as well as\u00a0prospect students<\/strong>, looking for an advanced education on Data Science.<\/p>\n
