He received his Ph.D. from University of Porto. Moreira is winner of the Best Paper Award at the 2014 International Conference on Advanced Data Mining and Applications, Guilin, China; Andr\u00e9 Carvalho\u00a0is a professor in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Sao Paulo, Brazil. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Kent at Canterbury, United Kingdom. Carvalho is one of the founding and first chief editors of the\u00a0International Journal of Computational Intelligence and Applications,\u00a0Imperial College Press\u00a0and\u00a0World Scientific; and\u00a0Tomas Horvath\u00a0is an assistant professor at Pavol Jozef Safarik University in Kosice, Slovakia.
