Nuno Flores<\/h3>

Nuno Flores is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Informatics Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering, University of Porto (FEUP), mentoring future software engineers since 2005. With a PhD (2012), MSc, and BSc in Informatics Engineering from FEUP, he specializes in innovative pedagogical approaches to software engineering education.\n
\nAs current lab coordinator<\/b>, Nuno bridges theory and practice through hands-on courses like Software Design and Testing Laboratory and Software Engineering Laboratory, serving BSc and MSc students in Informatics and Computing Engineering. Over 15+ years, he covers agile methods, architecture, and collaboration, with up to 7 hours weekly in practical sessions and supervision. He has mentored 40+ MSc theses on topics like gamified environments and process automation, building real-world skills in problem-solving and teamwork. He is also a Senior Researcher at INESC-TEC (HumanISE).\n
\nHis research in software engineering education features publications in high-impact journals, focusing on gamification and collaborative tools. Active in EU projects (e.g., ENACTEST, 2022-2025) and sustainable education initiatives (EDS@FEUP), he directs the MSc in Software Engineering, aligning curricula with agile, ethical industry needs.<\/p><\/div><\/div>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Manuel Firmino<\/h3>

Manuel Firmino Torres graduated in Psychology (1987), receiving the award for the highest grade from the Funda\u00e7\u00e3o Engenheiro Ant\u00f3nio de Almeida, and obtained his PhD in Educational Sciences (2013), with the thesis \u201cPedagogical Work Methods and Learning Assessment in Higher Education \u2013 A Study at the University of Porto\u201d, which was approved unanimously with distinction regarding the theoretical model and research methodology at FPCEUP.\n<\/br>\nA university lecturer since 1983 in various public and private institutions, he is currently an Assistant Professor at DEI, having received numerous Pedagogical Recognition Awards and a Scientific Recognition Award from FEUP, as well as two Awards for Pedagogical Innovation Projects and one Pedagogical Excellence Award from the University of Porto.<\/br>\nHe is an integrated member of INESC TEC \u2013 Institute for Systems and Computer Engineering, Technology and Science, serving as a researcher\/collaborator in HumanISE - Human-Centered Computing and Information Science, and is also a collaborator in CIIE - Center for Research and Educational Intervention, as well as in DocTalent4EU.\n<\/br>\nWith extensive experience in the pedagogical training of trainers and teachers, as well as in the development of transversal competencies, he has produced various national and international publications on pedagogy and higher education.<\/p><\/div><\/div>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Bruno Lima<\/h3>

Bruno Lima is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Informatics Engineering at FEUP and a researcher at LIACC. His work has focused on developing tools to support the teaching of programming languages, particularly Assembly. He is also strongly engaged in first-year student support and integration in the Bachelor in Informatics and Computing Engineering (L.EIC), being co-founder of the course\u2019s mentoring program.
\nCurrently, he serves on the pedagogical coordination team of the first year of L.EIC and on the FEUP-wide mentoring initiative. His contributions to computing education include several publications, such as \u201cPedagogical Innovation in Pandemic Times: The Experience of a Microprocessor Programming Course\u201d, \u201cThe Students\u2019 Integration in Pandemic Times: MIEIC.OnBoard 2020\/2021\u201d, \u201ceduARM: Web Platform to Support the Teaching and Learning of the ARM Architecture\u201d, and \u201cAutomatic Test-Based Assessment of Assembly Programs\u201d.<\/p><\/div><\/div>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Ant\u00f3nio Coelho<\/h3>

Ant\u00f3nio Fernando Coelho is an Associate Professor with Habilitation at the Department of Informatics Engineering, Faculty of Engineering (FEUP), University of Porto (UP), where he teaches Computer Graphics, Programming, and Digital Games. He is also the director of the Doctoral Program in Digital Media at the University of Porto and academic leader of the EUGLOH European University Alliance.\n
\nHe is also a Senior Researcher at the Center for Human-Centered Computing and Information Science (HumanISE) of INESC TEC with research interests in the areas of Computer Graphics, Extended Reality, Serious Games, and Accessibility.\n<\/p><\/div><\/div>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Jo\u00e3o Bispo<\/h3>

Jo\u00e3o Bispo is an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Engineering, University of Porto (FEUP) and coordinator of the SPeCS research group in the Computing Systems Lab. In 2012 received the Ph.D. degree from Instituto Superior T\u00e9cnico (IST), Lisbon, with a thesis about automatic runtime migration of loops found in assembly traces to customized hardware.\n
\nSince 2018 has been involved in classes related to programming technologies, including Programming Fundamentals and Compilers, where he has contributed with class materials and assignments, and recently has proposed an assignment in a MSc optional curricular unit where students have to develop a domain-specific language to represent music.\n
\nSince 2022 he is the pedagogical coordinator of the 1st year of the Informatics bachelor\u2019s in the Faculty of Engineering of University of Porto, and has been involved in University of Porto peer-mentoring program, at the bachelor\u2019s and faculty\u2019s level.<\/p><\/div><\/div>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Lu\u00eds Teixeira<\/h3>

Luis F. Teixeira is an Associate Professor at Faculdade de Engenharia da Universidade do Porto (FEUP) and a Senior Researcher at INESC TEC, with extensive experience in teaching and coordinating courses in Computer Vision, Machine Learning, Programming, and Project Management. He was awarded several Pedagogical Recognition Diplomas and a Pedagogical Excellence Award, which is presented yearly to one of the more than 300 teachers at FEUP. Beyond teaching, he has also supervised over 120 master's theses and contributed to pedagogical leadership, course management, counselling students' initiatives, and the organisation of summer schools.<\/p><\/div><\/div>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
