The Director of MDSE is João Mendes Moreira. João Mendes Moreira received his Ph.D. in 2008 from the Faculty of Engineering, University of Porto (FEUP), Portugal, where he is an assistant professor. He is also a senior researcher at INESC TEC, Porto, Portugal. He is co-author of: the book “A general introduction to data analytics”, Wiley, 2018; 17 ISI journal papers; 65 international conferences with peer review; 2 book chapters and some other papers. He has coordinated / participated in several research projects with companies/institutions such as Natixis, WeDo technologies, Herdade do Esporão, IIT Patna, University of Porto, Strogstep, UbiRider, among others.
